Jamil who is half Maltese, has travelled and lived all around the world, starting from Lebanon where he experienced the Christian French culture and traditions. With a degree at the James Madison University in Virgina, Jamil got many senior jobs in different States, such as Dubai and finally Kazakhstan, where he met his lovely wife Katrina, a professional tennis player. Actually, La Tartine means a lot for this couple.

“I was training at the tennis court in Kazakhstan – says Katrina – it was early morning and Jamil offered me a delicious croissant and so the following day… He conquered me with La Tartine Croissans”.

Being so affectionate to La Tartine when this charming couple moved to Malta, guess what? They built up their own family and La Tartine Café.
