Q How can I pay for my flights?

There’s loads of ways to pay for your Ryanair flights.

We accept PayPal, American Express cards, Visa, Mastercard, Diners/Discover, Apple Visa and Apple Mastercard credit cards and the following debit cards Visa Connect, Visa Electron, Mastercard Prepaid, Visa Delta.

Payments made by Apple Visa and Apple Mastercard will only be accepted on our mobile app at present.
For customers in Germany ONLY, SEPA direct debit payments can be accepted up to 10 days prior to the flight departure.

Q I have not received my email itinerary – do I have a booking?

If you have not received your email confirming your booking it is important that you take steps to ensure that your booking has been made.

On rare occasions there may be a delay with our payment processing system and as a result bookings may not be confirmed and an email confirmation will not be sent.

If this occurs our booking system attempts to process the payment again and if authorization is not received from the bank the flights are then automatically cancelled and no confirmation email travel itinerary is sent.

If you have made a booking and not received a confirmation email please check the status of your booking.

To check the status of a booking:

Go to My Bookings and retrieve your booking using Options 1 or 2

If you are having difficulty retrieving your booking watch this video and follow the steps.

If the booking is confirmed the flight details will display on screen with the details of the flights booked and amount charged to the form of payment.

If the booking has declined and the flights have been cancelled then below message will be displayed and no payments will have been made.

If you can’t find your booking and the below error message appears your booking has not been made. The payment was not approved by the bank and no payments have been made. The flights in your reservation have been cancelled.

Q What should I do if my payment has declined when making a new Ryanair booking?

If your payment is declined when you are making a new booking please note the following:

When the payment initially declines you will be given another opportunity to return to the payment page and re-enter your payment details again or enter a new form of payment.

If the payment is declined for a second time the flights will be automatically cancelled after 5 minutes and you will need to make a new reservation.

Q What is the credit/debit Card Verification Number (CVV) or Card Identification Number (CID) and where do I find it?

Ryanair take online security very seriously. That’s why we require that you enter your credit/debit card verification number (CVV) or card identification number (CID) for American Express cards before we can process your payment.

As shown below, the Card Verification Number (CVV) is the last three digit number printed on the signature panel located on the back of your card.

The CVV/CID is a security feature that allows Ryanair and your credit card issuer to identify you as the cardholder and provide you with additional security against fraud.
